About the Authors

Donna Martin, M.A.

Donna Martin, M.A., is a teacher, consultant, and therapist, an international trainer of the Hakomi Experiential Method of mindfulness-based assisted self-discovery, and co-creator with Paul Brenner, M.D., of an original healing process described in their book, Seeing Your Life Through New Eyes. Donna has taught yoga for more than forty years and has developed an approach to yoga therapy called psoma yoga combining Hakomi, yoga, and mindful movement. She lives in Kamloops, B.C., Canada, where she raised two sons, worked at the Phoenix Center for drug and alcohol addiction, and has had a private practice for many years. Marlena Field, PCC

 

Marlena Field, PCC, is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. She is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute and attended a two year training in the Hakomi Method. She has been a full time coach for eleven years. Marlena created a mindfulness-based somatic coaching methodology. She published a book titled, Body-Centered Coaching: using the body as a resource for change and created three CDs of live coaching demonstrations.
